农历九月十九 (08/11/2025), 是观音菩萨出家的日子, 因此这一天在佛教来说是一个重大的纪念日。此日念佛、诵经、燃灯、持咒、放生犹为殊胜，具大功德。值此殊胜节日, 佛弟子都念佛、诵经、燃灯、广行善事, 积功累德, 诚心唸诵观音圣号。并以此回向尽虚空遍法界一切众生, 祈愿众生早日破迷开悟, 福慧双修, 离苦得乐！同时祈愿国泰民安、世界和平、正法久住！

 

灯代表着光明和智慧，有了智慧就能够破除愚痴的⿊暗，逢凶化吉，遇难呈祥，⼀年都会充满吉祥平安，万事如意。

 

On the 19th day of the ninth lunar month (08/11/2025), is the day when Guan Yin Bodhisattva renounced her worldly life. This day is significantly commemorable to all Buddhists. On this day, reciting Buddhist scriptures, chanting mantras, lighting lamps, and releasing captives are considered meritorious and virtuous, with great benefits.

On this auspicious occasion, Buddhist disciples recite Buddhist scriptures, chant mantras, light lamps, engage in virtuous deeds and reciting the name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, to accumulate merits and virtues. Merits are transferred to all sentient beings. May they swiftly awaken from delusion, cultivate both blessings and wisdom, and be liberated from all sufferings to attain happiness. At the same time, prayers are offered for nation prosperity, world peace, and the enduring presence of the Dharma.

Lights symbolize brightness and wisdom. Wisdom will dispel ignorance and darkness; transforming adversity into prosperity； may the year be filled with auspiciousness, peace, and success in all endeavours.
